Bizen Yaki (Ware) Shochu/Wine Bottle
Bizen Yaki (Ware) Shochu/Wine Bottle
備前焼 焼酎・ワイン4号ボトル
This Bizen ware bottle was handcrafted in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, the birthplace of Japan’s oldest ceramic tradition. Bizen ware, one of the Six Ancient Kilns, is renowned for its unique production method—created without glaze, using only clay that is carefully shaped and fired over a long period.
This unglazed firing process results in pottery that is exceptionally durable, resistant to breakage, and naturally watertight. The distinctive earthy surface, formed by the interaction of fire and clay, gives each piece a one-of-a-kind character.
A timeless example of Japanese craftsmanship, this bottle embodies both strength and natural beauty, making it ideal for collectors and admirers of authentic traditional pottery.
