This tea caddy is made from cherry bark, traditionally crafted in Kakunodate City, Akita Prefecture. The lid and container fit tightly, ensuring excellent airtightness. The caddy is embellished with the natural, beautiful wood grain that cherry bark is known for, and the surface is decorated with cherry blossom petals. The petals with different colors are created using raden inlay, made from shells, adding a unique touch to the design.
As you use cherry bark craftwork, the color deepens, and the shine becomes richer over time. Each piece is carefully handmade, crafted to fully bring out the unique character of the wood bark. Since no two pieces of bark are exactly the same, every item has a distinct pattern, making each one truly one-of-a-kind.
