[Okawa Kumiko] Hemp Leaf Lamp

This lamp, crafted in Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which is still famous today as a furniture town, features a kumiko pattern inspired by hemp leaves. Kumiko is a traditional Japanese technique made of many wooden bars crossed and laid to create geometric patterns. The hemp leaf design is believed to ward off evil. The lamp releases a pleasant aroma of the Yoshino cedar from Nara Prefecture.
